Trump claims 'Iranians want to talk' after US and Israel strike Tehran; says 'told them it's too late' (x)
Washington: US President Donald Trump in a post on his Truth Social account on Tuesday claimed that Iran’s military capabilities are completely destroyed, leadership are "gone" and that it’s "too late" to hold talks with Tehran.
The US President wrote on social media that they have nothing left, from leadership to military capability.
In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump wrote, "Their air defense, Air Force, Navy, and Leadership is gone. They want to talk. I said 'Too Late!'."
The claim by Donald Trump comes on the fourth day of the war, when both sides are firing missiles in heavy bursts.

Dr Abdul Majid Hakeem Ilahi, a representative of Iran's late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stated in an interview with ANI that Iran is "ready for dialogue with respect."
He further clarified that negotiations should take place within a framework where no one is pressured and Iran's rights are respected.
Elahi stated that Iran has always been ready for dialogue, but that past US actions have undermined trust. He said that Iran views its regional actions as self-defense and that the goal of dialogue should be peace, not the imposition of high-power conditions.
On Sunday, US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Atlantic Magazine that Iran's new leadership wants to talk to him and he has agreed.
Trump said, "They want to talk, and I have agreed to talk. They should have done it earlier, much earlier. They were too late." Trump did not say with whom or when the talks would take place – Sunday or Monday. But his tone is clear that now the path to talks is open, although the attacks will continue.
US strikes have continued across Tehran, where explosions echoed through Monday night and into early Tuesday. The conflict intensified after American forces, working with Israel, launched extensive strikes on Iran following the killing of Ali Khamenei on Saturday.
